Hilary and Helen are launching The Blue Plaque and #IronworksFringe community projects, inviting residents to research and celebrate local history through the arts and growing spaces. Community Historian Helen Weinstein can help you find and share stories and together we will create blue plaques celebrating the history of our homes, and living spaces – working with artist-in-residence Hilary Cox Condron to tell those stories through artwork and planting.
The Alternative Garden Festival
#IronworksFringe will be launching as one of the Chelsea Garden Show’s Fringe projects in Cambridge – creating a wall around the streets of Mill Road – connecting both existing and new communities as we explore the rich history of our homes and create a greener environment.
Next year’s ninth Chelsea Fringe Festival will take place from 16th to 24th May 2020, at a host of different venues and settings all around the UK.
Building on the success of the previous Chelsea Fringe festivals, Cambridge’s new IronworksFringe will feature a wonderful mixture of public spectacles, horticultural happenings and community celebrations.
